(More customer reviews)I can relate to EVERYONE here that commented on this product except the bugs in box person. Sorry to hear that! I got the shipment two days ahead of expected delivery estimates. My entire family [From my GrandMother on down to my own children] grew up on this and it is the best instant hot cereal on planet Earth! I think this cereal is either being discontinued or going to another part of the country. Either way I hope and pray that does not happen. I live in the north Bronx area of NYC and I had to order this from Amazon.com because I couldn't find it in Pathmark, Target, Big K, Walmart, Sam's, Super Stop N Shop, Met's Food,Keyfood, The Finefare two blocks down from me, The Hispanic stores [everywhere] don't carry it, BJ's and Costco do not have it either. I was looking for this like a crackhead speedwalking with a couch on his/her back in the winter would after selling a $10 DVD player for a fix. I was like Maypo, Maypo, I gotta get my Maypo! I had a family relative go back down to the south Bronx and get two boxes from a store there that still carries it. Also I found one Stop N Shop in New Jersey that carries it. [That's why I chose Amazon!] Even though it is cheaper to get it from That store. I will keep Amazon in mind if it should vanish completely. Again, Amazon RULES!!! Oh and I do not work for Amazon.com or the makers of MAYPO either for all the haters out there. I just love this stuff :)

(More customer reviews)Earth's best makes great products, that are sometimes hard to find, so having Amazon deliver it is very nice. I recommend it highly. The only problem with this cereal is that there is no added Vit C to maximize iron absorption, so I will give the baby's daily vitamin with the cereal.

(More customer reviews)My 6 month old son has allergic colitis with sensitivities to both dairy and soy. When we gave him Earth's Best Whole Grain Rice Cereal for infants (which does not list any milk or soy ingredients), he had a bad reaction, so I called the company to find out if the tocopherols (vitamin E) in the cereal are soy-based and they said "yes" even though the ingredients on the package say nothing about soy. We were very disappointed in Earth's Best for failing to protect babies with allergies/sensitivities. Fortunately our baby is OK now, and we've switched to HappyBellies cereal which is great and clearly labeled as dairy and soy free.

(More customer reviews)I am a new mom, and have heard amazing things about HappyBaby's Oatmeal. So, when I got on Amazon to purchase some I was surprised/concerned to see some of the negative reviews about off-coloring and bad smells. I wrote to the company to inquire about the issues people were mentioning, and I got a very good response, almost immediately, from the company. The Director of QA said that the problem was limited to one batch of oatmeal only and is no longer a problem. I thought other parents shopping on Amazon might find his response helpful:
"...this is not a food safety issue, so there's no need to worry. It is, however, an "off product" quality issue, and is caused by oxidation of the oils in the grain (oxidative rancidity), usually by the nitrogen flush we put into the can leaking out due to abuse, improper seaming, etc. The reaction (with oxygen) is a lot like leaving a peeled banana on the table too long...yucky, but not dangerous, so your child is not in any danger. The black flecks are oxidized pieces of the cereal bran, which are usually colourless.

Our June production lot was particularly susceptible to this, so we did two things. First, we strengthened the antioxidant portion of the formula (mixed tocopherols), and the problem literally went away. Secondly, we reached out to our warehouses and store shelves, and replaced as much of the June production lot as we could. However, given the size and complexity of the supply chain, it's nearly impossible to get a 100% catch here, so invariably, some cases stayed around. "
This response really impressed me and made me feel much more confident about purchasing HappyBaby products in the future. They acted quickly, and responded thoroughly and honestly to the issue. They truly seem committed to their mission of supplying customers with the highest quality ingredients...and customer service! I will for sure be buying more HappyBaby products in the future.
