We found out from a friend that most insurance companies will completely cover the cost of hypoallergenic formula, either by reimbursing you what you've spent on it, or if you get it as a prescription through your pediatrician. Ours did!

(More customer reviews)...but I changed my mind. The first time I saw an ad for "toddler formula," I thought, "What a racket to make more money off of parents!" Then my daughter became a toddler! At 13 months she started refusing baby food and turned into a rather typical, picky eater. You can never tell what she will or won't eat, when! I couldn't get infant vitamins in her anymore, since they taste & smell horrible and she's not eating mushy foods. So it's nice to give her one serving of this toddler formula and have a little peace of mind that she's getting all the nutrients she needs. Even when she will only eat cheese, carrots, and crackers!

(More customer reviews)My daughter is 6 weeks old and we have had her on formula since day 3. She was very fussy when we tried Enfamil and Similac. We talked to my parents and they suggested using a soy formula since I had milk allergies as a baby. We tried the Enfamil soy and she was still really fussy. So, we decided to try Isomil Advance. She has been using it since and she is much less fussy. She is sleeping much more soundly now too! It is wonderful and even though it IS more expensive, it is totally worth it to be able to get a good night's sleep!

However *shop around* we get it for about one dollar an ounce at the buy-in-bulk place or just a few pennies more at our local supermarket, especially with a loyalty card or on sale. This price is high, even before shipping.
