(More customer reviews)My daughter had such bad diaper rash that she had sores on her bottom. We tried EVERYTHING!!!! It got so bad we had to go once a week to the doctor for medication and "prescribed" diaper creams...nothing worked. Got the Dr. Smiths idea from another mom....in 4 days her diaper rash cleared up and we were able to keep it at bay with Dr. Smiths. This is the best kept mommy secret ever. Due to the cost we only used Dr. Smiths when it looked like a diaper rash may start or in the summer for heat rash. I even found the product works great on my older children and myself for irritation, heat rash and other irritations. When I say this is Gold in a Jar....I'm not kidding!!! I know give this as a baby gift to all new mommies...never fails I get a call of thanks within the first 6 months and a "this stuff is great...I'm so glad you turned me on to Dr. Smiths!" (More customer reviews)We tried several formula's for our newborn before this one and none worked as well. It's the exact same formula of ingredients as Enfamil Gentlease Lipil but for 1/2 the price. What we like best is that when shaken, there are virtually no bubbles or foaming which is great for newborn babies or babies with spit up or gas issues. The partially broken down whey is easier on babies stomach to digest. Works very well and we will be exclusively buying this product from now on, however, the six pack has no price advantage once shipping costs are added in. If you live where you don't have access to Target, it pays to have it shipped. If you live close to a Target, buy it at the store.

Although I breastfed exclusively for 5+mths, I didn't have the time nor inclination to pump very often so I bought this to mix with baby cereal or water down pureed food once my frozen milk supply ended. Ready-to-eat in 2oz was the perfect convenience, especially since the lid screws back on. If these had a pop-top or tear-off-foil top that could not be resealed they would not be very convenient. My baby showed no signs of tummy problems when I introduced this formula. I cannot comment on how these would work as a bottle with the nipple attached because I never used it as such.
The bottle cannot be recycled in my CT town's municipal recycling program. I considered deducting a star for that!

Amazon is the only place I could consistently find this formula in the ready to feed form. I can occasionally find it at BRU. My local grocery store tried to get it for me but told me their distributer does not carry it. I also would like to know why it is so hard to find!! I stocked up last month and am thinking I'll have to try a different formula because I'll run out before July!

At 13 months she started refusing baby food and turned into a rather typical, picky eater. You can never tell what she will or won't eat, when! I couldn't get infant vitamins in her anymore, since they taste & smell horrible and she's not eating mushy foods. So it's nice to give her one serving of this toddler formula and have a little peace of mind that she's getting all the nutrients she needs. Even when she will only eat cheese, carrots, and crackers!

We talked to my parents and they suggested using a soy formula since I had milk allergies as a baby. We tried the Enfamil soy and she was still really fussy. So, we decided to try Isomil Advance. She has been using it since and she is much less fussy. She is sleeping much more soundly now too! It is wonderful and even though it IS more expensive, it is totally worth it to be able to get a good night's sleep!

There are 3 significantly different processes used in USA by mfg to hydrolize protein and just because one results in MSG, does not mean all processes do. My daughter started out on Good Start DHA in the orange can. She was constipated. She wouldnt potty but every two or three days. So they switched her to good start soy. that didn't help and she didn't like the taste. plus it's really greasy. so they put her on good start natural cultures. It helped with her potty but she started throwing up with it. We went through several different Enfamils before trying similac. we seen a difference immediantly. she didn't throw it up. so we waited for her to get constipated. but it never happened. so we took her to the doc and had them fill out paperwork for me to turn into wic so they will cover it for us. florida only covers good start so I had to have a special order from her doctor to get it. I'm grateful they did!
