The fact that the sugar in Organic Similac is from cane sugar and not corn syrup makes a world of difference. By feeding your child Organic milk you are keeping the fertilizers, pesticides, and antibiotics out of your child. FYI, ingredients in fertilizers and pesticides which are transferred to regular milk cows through eating the grass and in turn consummed by your child are CARCINOGENS. More importantly, your child will not ingest the antibiotics given to regular cows which lowers the affectiveness of antibiotics given to your child when he or she needs them.

(More customer reviews)We are still undecided about using whole milk or organic whole milk, and Similac 2 has been great for the transition. We started using it at 11 months, mixing half Similac 2 and hald Similac Advance. I do recommend always mixing half and half when changing formulas/milk. (Unless, of course, you are changing formulas due to feeding intolerance.)
Also, this is very easy when traveling and going out for the day. No need to worry with keeping whole milk cold.
I have been very happy with both Similac Advance and Similac 2! I think that Similac is much easier on tummies than Enfamil.

My baby tried Enfamil and didn't like it, and I actually agreed with her: it seems that Similac tastes most like breast milk, and since I am nursing and supplementing with formula, Similac is working best for us... Just try different formulas before making a definite choice, I don't think that one milk is better than another, it really depends on your needs -and on what your baby will take.

Since you have to have equal parts water and formula, I had to carefully measure each can. Each can was different. The formula itself worked fine, but it was misleading as to how much I was actually getting for the price. The already mixed formula is much cheaper per ounce than this or even the powder.

My daughter started out on Good Start DHA in the orange can. She was constipated. She wouldnt potty but every two or three days. So they switched her to good start soy. that didn't help and she didn't like the taste. plus it's really greasy. so they put her on good start natural cultures. It helped with her potty but she started throwing up with it. We went through several different Enfamils before trying similac. we seen a difference immediantly. she didn't throw it up. so we waited for her to get constipated. but it never happened. so we took her to the doc and had them fill out paperwork for me to turn into wic so they will cover it for us. florida only covers good start so I had to have a special order from her doctor to get it. I'm grateful they did!

The doctor switched us to Similac Sensitive Fussiness and Gas (the orange bottle) which helped a little but didn't help him completely. I then switched to Similac Sensitive Isomil Soy and he was like a whole new baby! The constipation quit and the unstoppable crying stopped all together. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone! I got a great deal on it and love the fact that it was ready to feed, no more mixing!

We've tried formula after formula after formula, nothing but vomit and severe constipation. Finally we found a formula that helped with her constipation but she was still having problems with her reflux, even with added rice. The drs however continued to say she was at a steady growing rate so there was nothing to worry about. Well, one day I ran out of formula and ran to the store to pick up some more. FORTUNATELY, the store was out of the Similac Alimentum. Nearing her feeding time, I was in a rush, so I glanced over the other formulas to find one that would be the closest match. I just happened to pick up Similac Sensitive R.S. Now not only is she not spitting up, she's staying full longer, sleeping through the whole night, and SHE'S NOT GASSY OR CONSTIPATED!!! HURRAY! Another minor pro is that it doesn't reek like the Alimentum does. Kind of smells like Vanilla Flavored Ensure. I called all my friends just days after buying the product and recommended it to everyone. I couldn't be anymore grateful.

I'm breastfeeding my son, but we supplement with this formula so my husband can feed the baby (I don't always have enough pumped for a bottle) and for convenience. It is very helpful to have a bottle handy when I'm waiting at the register at the supermarket and the baby is crying to be fed. I love these little, ready-made bottles because they are the perfect size and there is no mixing needed - just shake, open, screw on a nipple, and feed the baby.
These don't come with nipples, but you can use regular bottle nipples or get disposable nipples separately. You can buy about 50 disposable Similac nipples from the Abbott store online or use Enfamil disposable nipples (I've used these - they fit fine), which they sell on Amazon.com in packs of 10 or 25.
I have two nipples in a ziplock bag and 4 bottles in my diaper bag at all times. There are cheaper feeding options, but for convenience I can't recommend these enough!

In the past I have purchased this item in the drugstore and grocery store at a very high price -- $13.99 a can. I was so relieved to find Neosure on Amazon at $9.99, and then last week $8.99. What a bargain. However, I was shocked to see that Amazon had raised the price to $15.99 (which is above the manufacturer suggested price). It can be so emotioinally trying for the parent of a preemie, there are so many hardships and joys. I have shopped at Amazon for years (long before I was the parent of a preemie), and I suppose I now feel somewhat betrayed by the drastic increase in price. So I will be headed back to the drugstore to purchase my baby's formula and I can't help but harbor some hard feelings for Amazon.

(More customer reviews)Just wanted to say that my son was premature and had severe reflux and allergies to the milk protein. This formula was better than any other, even the Neocate. Just a side note, the liquid formula IS different than the powder. The liquid formula doesn't contain corn solids and the powder does. I had my son on the powder and he would arch and pull away after two ounces (his twin sister could take about 5-6 ounces at this point and his weight was much less than hers). I switched to the liquid and he sucked it down like he hadn't eaten in months. It's very expensive but totally worth it in our circumstance! The only reason it doesn't get five stars is b/c, yes, it has a horrible smell... but he likes it so I don't really care what it smells like!

(More customer reviews)I exclusively breast fed my son for the first four months and then had to start supplementing with formula due to weight gain issues. We originally started with Enfamil but he wouldn't drink it. Then we moved on to the ready made and he loved it, but it made him sick. Long story short, he had a milk protein allergy. We then moved on to the Enfamil brand soy powder. He took it for a week and then refused it all together. Finally, we found this ready to eat Similac w soy. It has saved us! These 8 oz bottles are perfect. Just open the formula and make a bottle. The measurement is always right and the formula is always room temp so there is no need to warm it. We originally tried the soy powder but he wouldn't take that either. The 8 oz size is great for older babies. The 2 oz size is great for newborns. Unfortunately, they do not have a measurement for in between. If your child drinks 4 oz you either need to use 2, 2 oz bottles or half of an 8 oz bottle. I am giving it 1 star because they boast just adding a nipple to the bottle and feeding, but it doesn't come with said nipples. You have to buy them separately. Overall, we cannot live without this formula and highly recommend it!
