Any seller that is taking advantage of food shortage for a BABY should be ASHAMED of themselves. This is not a hot toy this is FOOD for a BABY!!!
The lowest form of a human would do this! I would not waste my time or money supporting them!

(More customer reviews)We are still undecided about using whole milk or organic whole milk, and Similac 2 has been great for the transition. We started using it at 11 months, mixing half Similac 2 and hald Similac Advance. I do recommend always mixing half and half when changing formulas/milk. (Unless, of course, you are changing formulas due to feeding intolerance.)
Also, this is very easy when traveling and going out for the day. No need to worry with keeping whole milk cold.
I have been very happy with both Similac Advance and Similac 2! I think that Similac is much easier on tummies than Enfamil.

(More customer reviews)Hospital staff introduced us to Enfamil Premium Lipil ready-made baby formula in little 2-ounce "nursette" plastic bottles onto which you could quickly add a nipple to feed your infant. These were a godsend, since my wife couldn't produce enough breastmilk for our baby boy. We quickly realized we needed to stock up on these, and also discovered that this product was available in 6 oz. glass nursette bottles, 32 oz. tin cans, and good old powder.
Once opened, though, nursette bottles need to be consumed within about an hour, and the cans need to be poured into a container, refrigerated and consumed within 3 days or, because its ingredients are milk-derived, it will spoil. The powder didn't taste as good (my wife taste-tests everything she gives to our child), and also produced more spit-up. The canned formula added a slightly metallic taste, but seemed acceptable to both mother and baby, which was nice as this was the most economical way to get the ready-made stuff.
We primarily used the 2 oz nursettes for the first 6 months, which was incredibly convenient (but stinkin' expensive), until he started needing 3 or more at a time, at which point we introduced the 6 oz. glass nursettes. We still used the 2 oz. for when he woke up in the middle of the night and just wanted a little snack.
Enfamil claims that their Premium formula increases IQ over other formulas, and his grandmother is convinced that he's a genius, but I'm not so certain; the kid sure does drool a lot and can't even take out the garbage yet! Obviously, there's no substitute for breastmilk but, if you can't keep up with your baby's appetite, this is the stuff to get.

My daughter started out on Good Start DHA in the orange can. She was constipated. She wouldnt potty but every two or three days. So they switched her to good start soy. that didn't help and she didn't like the taste. plus it's really greasy. so they put her on good start natural cultures. It helped with her potty but she started throwing up with it. We went through several different Enfamils before trying similac. we seen a difference immediantly. she didn't throw it up. so we waited for her to get constipated. but it never happened. so we took her to the doc and had them fill out paperwork for me to turn into wic so they will cover it for us. florida only covers good start so I had to have a special order from her doctor to get it. I'm grateful they did!

The doctor switched us to Similac Sensitive Fussiness and Gas (the orange bottle) which helped a little but didn't help him completely. I then switched to Similac Sensitive Isomil Soy and he was like a whole new baby! The constipation quit and the unstoppable crying stopped all together. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone! I got a great deal on it and love the fact that it was ready to feed, no more mixing!

(More customer reviews)You think you're doing something good for your kid when you invest a little more to get an organic formula. Sadly, that's not the case here. This is a horrifically constipating formula...lots of pain and straining, guaranteed. Having to take measures to prevent this (offering juices, water, etc) is just not a sensible approach.
Also, the manufacturers use sucrose instead of lactose to save money, and they use a LOT of it. With the same sweetness as country time lemonade, Similac Organic's sucrose-based formula may also set your child up for future diabetes. Check the NY Times article for more info on this.
Bottom line: painful constipation in the near term, possible diabetes and certainly a sweet tooth in the future...no, thanks!

I'm breastfeeding my son, but we supplement with this formula so my husband can feed the baby (I don't always have enough pumped for a bottle) and for convenience. It is very helpful to have a bottle handy when I'm waiting at the register at the supermarket and the baby is crying to be fed. I love these little, ready-made bottles because they are the perfect size and there is no mixing needed - just shake, open, screw on a nipple, and feed the baby.
These don't come with nipples, but you can use regular bottle nipples or get disposable nipples separately. You can buy about 50 disposable Similac nipples from the Abbott store online or use Enfamil disposable nipples (I've used these - they fit fine), which they sell on Amazon.com in packs of 10 or 25.
I have two nipples in a ziplock bag and 4 bottles in my diaper bag at all times. There are cheaper feeding options, but for convenience I can't recommend these enough!

In the past I have purchased this item in the drugstore and grocery store at a very high price -- $13.99 a can. I was so relieved to find Neosure on Amazon at $9.99, and then last week $8.99. What a bargain. However, I was shocked to see that Amazon had raised the price to $15.99 (which is above the manufacturer suggested price). It can be so emotioinally trying for the parent of a preemie, there are so many hardships and joys. I have shopped at Amazon for years (long before I was the parent of a preemie), and I suppose I now feel somewhat betrayed by the drastic increase in price. So I will be headed back to the drugstore to purchase my baby's formula and I can't help but harbor some hard feelings for Amazon.

(More customer reviews)First off, the bottles DO NOT contain BPA. The lids are coated in an epoxy that does, but there is another layer over that to help protect the BPA from getting to the formula. I actually called Similac's parent company to verify this.
Yes they are expensive, but I get coupons all the time from Similac and use those to buy these bottles. They are wonderful for camping, fishing, or any other time sanitation may be an issue. All you have to do is attach your own nipple and ring. Much less to wash.
Though they are really not made to do it, you can punch out the center from the ring and put in a standard nipple. It seems like it will leak, but it doesn't. Then you can just throw the whole thing away.
