(More customer reviews)Be careful what supplier you select. It shouldn't be Nutricity. From Amazon, the G&B bars (made in Canada) arrive promptly; I've ordered them several times and will again. My first (and last) order from Nutricity, however, arrived a month after the order had been placed, and then only after an inquiry to the seller. The bars were dry, stale and hard, the color of cocoa powder rather than chocolate bars. Although the bars still had 10 months to go before expiration of the sell-by date on the wrappers, they were a disgrace to the good name of G&B. It may be that they had been stored improperly, or that the single paper wrapper used in the Italian plant (the Canadian maker uses an inner foil wrap) allowed too much air to get to the bars. I'll grind them for hot chocolate, but they are unsuitable for eating directly and very similar in quality to the bars one sometimes finds at mass-market outlets that resell overstock from other retailers.

(More customer reviews)We have lived in Belgium for 8 of the last 24 months. There is no question that the cheapest Belgian chocolate is better than anything you can buy in America. It is tough for us to gag down American chocolate anymore. They grind the cocoa beans finer and use less fat and less sugar, so it is much better for you. I am diabetic and it does not send my sugars up.
Belgians have very strong opinions when it comes to which chocolate is "best". They don't always agree, but more Belgians said Leonida's was the best than any other single brand we heard. This is not something you eat. You savor and treasure every piece. The price is good and you will not be disappointed.

Amazon, I ADORE you -- you often have excellent prices, your web site is the best, and nothing has ever gone awry with anything from you, so I buy lots of food here in addition to DVDs, CDs, techie toys, clothes, garden & kitchen stuff, and, yes, books, but surely you can find a more reasonably-priced source!

(More customer reviews)This is by far the best sugar-free chocolate I've found. Thanks, Dove! It's rich, creamy, doesn't have the bubble-gum, sugar alcohol taste prevalent in most sugar-free chocolate. One piece is a very satisfying 30 calories.
Took off a star for the outrageous price. This is not, at least with the order I placed, specially packaged. I can find this same product in the grocery store for a little over $3 per package, which would be @ $20 or so for six packages. I'm not seeing where the $39 price tag, even adding shipping and handling, comes in. If you can't find this product locally, have no other way to get it and have the bucks to spend, I'd recommend it as a great sugar-free candy. But, it's really too pricey for me to buy it from Amazon again.
