But Texmati has all the fragrance of basmati rice, the fiber of brown rice and it comes in a wonderful clear square plastic jar that is great for filling with beans or popcorn when it is empty. This rice smells like pecans when cooking and tastes great. You can cook it up as pilaf with raisins, almonds and chicken or vegetable broth for a delicious side dish. Try it also by browning it in olive oil with a half cup of orzo per cup of rice and then make pilaf with broth. It is delicious.

(More customer reviews)I like freshly-ground, brewed coffee, but sometimes I'm in a hurry and just want a reasonable facsimile that looks, smells, and tastes like it and delivers my morning "buzz". Generally, any instant can be made drinkable if you doctor it up with enough creamer and sugar. Many of the previous reviews heaped praise on this drink, so naturally I wanted to see if Mount Hagen is really that good.
To make this review a bit different, I decided conduct a coffee "throwdown" between Mount Hagen Organic Instant Freeze Dried Coffee and Nescafe Taster's Choice Instant Coffee, Regular, 0.49-Ounce Single Sticks, 7-Count Boxes (Pack of 24). I wasn't expecting the Nescafe to be better than the Mount Hagen; it's just that I do drink that brand and like it. For the review, I brewed a cup of each of the instants according to instructions. Here's what I found:
Aroma- Neither of these brands has a rich aroma, but the Mt. Hagen had the edge here, mainly because it's a darker roast.
Taste- Fairly close results; the Taster's Choice was not bitter and had a fairly clean finish (no undesirable aftertaste). It was pretty watery when brewed according to instructions, though. Mount Hagen chalks one up in the win column for richer flavor and a fuller body.
Convenience/Affordability- Taster's Choice is more convenient but is not more affordable than Mt. Hagen (price/ounce). Nescafe scores here on convenience.
Eco-friendliness- Mount Hagen would seem to win because it's an organically-grown product (not sure if it's Fair Trade, though). However, it may have a larger carbon footprint than the Nescafe, since it's imported from Germany. The 2 brands tie on this category.
In the end, I would go with the Mt. Hagen for at-home use because of it's slightly richer flavor and it's organically grown. I wouldn't mind keeping a couple of tubes of the Taster's Choice around in a drawer or the glove compartment for a caffeine-based "emergency", though.

Fiber one is a crunchy, flavorful, bran tasty, cereal which, in 4 oz gives one 14 grams of fiber. One cup of Fiber One equals 28 grams of fiber. When I stop to think of the ordeal involved taking Metamucil for 5 grams of fiber, though ignorant of the existence of Fiber One, and its 14-28 grams of fiber, I could commit Hari Kari! The cereal is as tasty as ones favorite cereal, a pleasant surprise, and by adding a pear to this morning cereal one hits the 30+ grams recommended by the medics.

I really find this one of my favorite instant coffees. Now instant is not going to be as good a fresh perked, I know. But for instant, this is pretty good!
First, it easily dissolves into a smooth coffee, without bits of the instant as clumps (which happens with Taster's Choice). It looks nicer, but I can't help but think that it also makes its taste smoother.
Second, the taste is, in fact, smoother than other instants that I have tried. A nice rich taste.
All in all, this is my favorite instant coffee to this point. . . .

My Brit husband loves this one by Walkers. Believe me when I say it was the best fruitcake I have ever tasted. It is a rich, moist dense cake packed with raisens. None of those icky plastic apple, cherry or pineapple pieces that dominate an American one.
Rather on the expensive side esp when you add in shipping/handling but once a year makes it a true holiday treat.

Kimbo Gold is genuine espresso from Napels, famed for its incomparable coffee, and uses only the best Brazillian coffee beans. Its taste can be best described as potent with a real kick, but without any bitterness, and with a deep yet clear espresso flavour. I prefer it to some of the better known premium brands, such as the otherwise excellent Illy caffe. Its flavour is much richer and isn't even lost in a capuccino or latte - the milk if anything seems to bring out the flavour even more. I highly recommend this espresso to anyone who is looking for the real thing.

This thing comes in a Pack of 10.
I usually make curry twice a month so it'll last me at least 5-6 months.
And the good thing is that these things last for about a year or so.
What I found best is to mix KOKUMARO Curry and JAVA Curry.
You get the "rich" and "creamy" of KOKUMARO and the spicy "kick" from JAVA.
I usually add in some garlic and milk to get more flavor and even more creaminess.

At first the flavor seemed to have a burned taste to me--the very flavor I was avoiding with the single serving Keurig system. I decided to test it by adding some real Kahlua to standard unflavored coffee and found it didn't taste vastly different--so I guess this is how it is supposed to taste, but it's not what I expected. The guy in the liquor store said that without the alcohol you wouldn't get the exact taste. Overall, I found the flavor okay in a big mug (too strong for me in a cup) and the two-box pack is a good value.
